To the north there are the sandy beaches at Westward Ho!, Northam, and the extensive Saunton Sands, which is ideal for surfers, walkers and kite flyers. To the south we have the picturesque Crackington Haven, with it’s cliff flanked sand and pebble beach and “Rick Steins” Padstow, with wide sandy beaches and tufted sand dunes to explore. 

Windsurfing can also be great fun on the windier days, as is skim boarding on calm days. And for those prepared to push the boundaries, spectacular diving is available around Lundy Island. Dogs are welcome on most beaches, however, there are some restrictions in place during the Seasonal months.
