There are lots of enjoyable public footpaths in and around the area that will suit all levels of walker. The local Forestry Commission trails let you ramble through and enjoy the scenery; the stunning South West Coastal Path offers a spectacular sequence of towering cliffs, long beaches and stunning sea views; and, of course, you have Exmoor, Bodmin and Dartmoor only a short drive away.Roadford
Only 10 minutes away located on the edge of Dartmoor, Roadford Lake is the largest inland water in the Southwest (730 acres).Roadfordhas a fantastic network of footpaths that wind through forest plantations and along the water side.

Bude Coast
The coastal footpath has some of the best walking country in the south west, perfect for gentle strolls family walks or days out for keen ramblers. To the north of bude discover Morwenstow, Hawkers hut a tiny National Trust Property, and then on to Duckpool. Go south to see the spectacular views of Widemouth, Dizzard Wood and the picturesque harbour of Boscastle
The Moors
West Venn is set in the heart of what is known as Ruby country, which is an area that lies between Exmoor, Bodmin and Dartmoor. Those wishing to explore the different settings will find them all within easy reach of West Venn.
