Welcome to West Venn Holiday Cottages. Superb self catering country cottages on the Devon and Cornwall border.

Set in 22 acres of rolling countryside and woodland, our beautifully converted barns are the perfect holiday for families and couples, in an ideal location to explore all the wonderful sights and fabulous local attractions.

In the tranquil village of Ashwater, we have 5 farm cottages, arranged in a pretty courtyard setting and a further cottage in the heart of the village. Sleeping 2–8 people or up to 26, plus cots, if booked altogether.
Our farm cottages have been converted to a very high standard and retain many of their original character features, including high ceilings and exposed beams, whilst our cottage in the village has been recently developed to provide a comfortable modern living arrangement, yet still maintaining that romantic country charm.

You will find all cottages exceedingly comfortable and welcoming, offering all modern appliances, fully fitted kitchens, comfortable beds and sofas, wood burners (in all but Poachers Lodge), large flat screen TV’s, DVD’s and WiFi connection to all cottages.

The facilities on the farm are there for all to enjoy and will keep everyone happy. The games room has a pool table, air hockey, darts, table football and a TV. There is a grassed play area with outdoor play equipment, our well stocked coarse fishing lake for the keen fisherman and the pretty woodland walk, which is amazing when the bluebells are in season. But the firm favourite has to be our animals, especially with the children. A leisurely meander around the farm will introduce you to our friendly pygmy goats, rabbits, pigs, sheep, miniature ponies and cows, plus our ducks, chickens, guinea fowl and turkeys.

There is always plenty to see and do in the South West and so much within easy access of our cottages. Beautiful beaches, secluded coves and picturesque fishing villages, such as Clovelly and Port Isaac, where they film the popular TV series Doc Martin. Great attractions, like the Eden Project, Flambards and Lanhyrdrock; walking the stunning coastal path, on Dartmoor or Bodmin Moor; plus, golf, horse riding, cycling, surfing, archery, bowling, clay pigeon shooting, sailing...
