The pygmy goats are always good entertainment for adults and children alike; as are the pigs and the mischievous little piglets. The spring lambs are always a pleasure, and with our cows, calves, Shetland ponies, chickens and ducks, there is plenty more to keep everyone of all ages interested.
Our guests are welcome to help us feed the animals and bottle feed the young lambs, something the children always enjoy doing. Our 9 acre woodland and nature trail is great for walks, bird spotting and walking the dogs. A small stream provides the boundary and also a home to the wild brown trout. You can stay on the path or go off the "beaten track".
In addition to our own animals, there is an abundance of natural wildlife and fauna to see and explore. Wild flowers are in every field and along every hedgerow; foxes, squirrels, rabbits, hares, badgers, red deer and roe deer are all a common sight. Hundreds of swallows herald the coming of summer, but throughout the year there are dozens of birds to spot; pheasants, robins, wrens, owls, hawks, wagtails, finches, tits, and many, many more.
With the exclusive use of our fishing lake (residents only), picnic tables and rest areas conveniently located throughout, it's all here, right on your door step.
Note: The livestock on the farm is subject to breeding and rearing seasons and between the months of October and March the animal stock is reduced and you may not see them all on the farm. |
